Sad news on the mediocre coffee front. The corner of Thurlow and Robson, long occupied by two Starbucks kitty-corner to one another, will soon be home to only one Starbucks… probably the one you don’t go to. Burn.
Due to a lease disagreement, the store at 100-1100 Robson St. will close at the end of the month, forcing weary customers to get their mocha coconut frappuccinos with a sprinkling of self-loathing all the way across the street… or down the block at Robson and Jervis… or Hornby near Robson… or Burrard and Smithe…. or West Georgia between Thurlow and Burrard… or West Georgia and Granville…
It’s a cruel world.
